 - The 63 Characteristics Of Fascism And Americas Development As A Fascist...
Jun 30, 2006 4:08pm (18 reviews) alternative-news, liberties http://www.lookingglassnews.org/viewstor...- The best time to sound an alarm is BEFORE everything fits the picture of fascism. Once it's like Nazi Germany or the USSR, too many people have to die to change it. Hopefully people will wake up and see how dangerously close we, supposed lovers of freedom, are vering towards fascism. Let he who has ears hear. We can not protect our freedoms and rights by being fearful and giving them up just to feel safer.
 - Who Rules America: Conspiracy Theories

(8 reviews) http://sociology.ucsc.edu/whorulesameric... - I think that the definition of conspiracy is plan in secret. While this page presents a sound sociological view point on one hand, on the other in using the government coverups that have been uncovered he proves there were conspiracies. Just because they got caught doesn't mean they didn't plan it in secret and plan on not getting caught. I would love to hear his take on the Bilderberg Group, who DOES meet in secret and refuses to divulge anything that is dealt with in the meeting. They surely aren't just meeting for tea and biscuits or to chew the fat. Top officials and royalty meeting in private under more security than most heads of states recieve on normal day speaks louder than a sociology course on power does.
 - Seed: As Science Goes, so Goes the Nation

(3 reviews) http://www.seedmagazine.com/news/2006/06... - I hope this author is correct and that the majority of Americans realize that there is an attack on science happening, not an attack on Christmas. People have always been allowed to celebrate Christmas in their homes, in their churches, and if the amount of christmas lights I see are any indication in their cities. No one has ever walked into their Church and said, you should not study the Bible. Yet people are in the schools and attacking Universities for teaching science and not the bible. I see this quote often, and it's very appropo, "Don't pray in my school, and I won't think in your church". Insulting it may be on a surface level, but the reality is your church is safe for you to teach your children your morality, let our schools be safe to teach your children science. Trust your childern to use both wisely.

Ooops, I forgot, we didn't include country club memberships, free plane rides to anywhere, entire elections, and those cute black SUVs...or did we? Oh anyway, I'm sure they will stop those power hungry nutcases from taking control of the internet.

But, I do think every adult in the United States should have to see it. It's one thing to walk around yelling "nuke them all". It's quite another to see the effects of it.

 - People Judge Bush
Dec 29, 2005 6:26am (33 reviews) activism http://www.peoplejudgebush.org/- There is a psychological principle that basically says people will do anything to convince themselves that their views are consistant. Another says that when one's world view is challenged, there will be an imbalance that will grow until something changes. It is remarkable to me how people who followed Bush, and yes even the congressmen did this, into this war for what they believed were good reasons, can not now realize a mistake. It's one thing to make a mistake, to be misled, to have done a good thing by following the leader of the country, in that is honor and innocent mistake. But to know the truth now, and still be determined to stay the course shows the first principle very well-the desire for consistancy in thought. I am praying that the second principle- the difference between the original world view (Bush is honest and good) and the real one (Bush lied and his cronies are reaping the benefits), will cause the second principle - cognitive dissonance to kick in soon. In other words, please people, don't let your original good intentions of fighting terror and wmds allow you to let a president break the law, commit war crimes, and basically drag this country lower than a blow job ever could. Please pull that honor up and hold this man accountable for lying to our soldiers.
